More About Melissa

A passion for hotels and restaurants sparked Melissa’s education at Cornell’s Hotel School. Following an internship in the PR department at destination spa The Golden Door, Melissa began her career in-house with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. After transitioning to an agency setting, Melissa spent several years handling media relations for hotel/resort and destination clients throughout Florida and the Caribbean. From there, she moved into a social media focus, overseeing campaigns for branded and independent hotels such as JW Marriott, Waldorf Astoria, InterContinental Hotels and more.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in hotel administration from Cornell University.

  • Smart PR Best Pitch of the Year, 2021 National winner. Won the national category for a client's contributed piece in Business Insider that resulted in increased demand, and subsequently, headcount
  • Smart PR Best Pitch of the Year, Trade runner-up. Was recognized as a runner-up for a pitch to travel outlet Travel + Leisure that led to a feature piece on the client's Nordstrom launch. Results from that piece included selling out at Nordstrom faster than similar products and a strong basis for future products with Nordstrom
  • Hospitality Sales & Marketing International, 2017 Adrian Award winner. Recognized for an integrated social media campaign that had a 150X return on ad spend for a resort client
